The alarm goes off. I hit the snooze button. It goes off again. I realize that I'm late and that the lights are out. That's when I start to question my colorblindness and play close care to the clothes that I pick to wear as not to look like a hot mess at work.
Lights being out is an inconvenience. At some point in the day the service will be restored. I am reminded of the fact that there are people across the globe that don't have lights or running water. So, the fact that I have on a grayish elephant graphic T and some whatever this color is linen pants ... Is not that serious. Thank God everyday for the little things, because for someone else it could be a very big deal.
