I'm sure you've heard the saying "sitting on the fence." It's an idiom used to express the actions of a person who attempts to practice neutrality by not choosing sides. Another reason may be that the person finds it difficult to make a decision based on inability or fear. There are some people that can't grasp the idea of not being able or willing to make a definitive choice; while still others can't understand how some people choose without hesitation. So, why do people choose to be indecisive?

It's easy to feel like you can take on anything and everything. Our fast paced lifestyles have made stress and lack of motivation a common issue in many of our lives. I know, because this is something that has affected me too! Whether people like to admit it or not, humans are emotional creatures. With that comes the possibility of us leaving ourselves open to make meaningful relationships with others; but it also leaves us open to take on too much of what other people have happening in their lives. How can we find the balance between taking on what we must and leaving the rest behind? We can find a way to protect ourselves emotionally.

I was on a flight to NYC, settled in my seat and ready to go! I'm a bit of a rebel so you know what I say to turning my "devices" off ? NOPE! I'm going to rock out to my travel playlist as G-Force lets my organs know that it is in charge, if only for a few brief moments during take off. As the plane climbs,  the altitude lets me know that my ears are at its mercy. I said my prayer for safety (which I do anytime I set out on a trip) and look forward to an uneventful, turbulence-free flight. 3 People That I'm proud of...

Recently, I was in a discussion with someone about accomplishments that we had reached in our lives and ones that we aspire to reach in the future. They asked me, "What are you proud of?". I began to think to myself about all the things that I had done and came up blank for more than a few. Whether from modesty or forgetfulness, I shared a few things with them and the conversation moved onto another topic. It wasn't until yesterday (in the random moments where my mind wanders, you know while driving or brushing your teeth) that the conversation struck me. I had forgotten that there are more things to be proud of than just my own accomplishments and accolades. I realized that I found great satisfaction in knowing that the people that I hold near and dear have reached some of their own. So I vow today and I task you with doing the same; regularly check in with yourself and let those people know that you are proud of them too!
